My favorite tattoo of the moment is "There Are No Accidents."  It is a reminder for me to stay willing and attentive and to pay attention to the miraculous.

It is a reminder for me to live my life on PURPOSE, rather than by accident.

It is a reminder to remain open and willing and connected to Spirit or Source ( or Love or God) or however you want to think of it. When you are connected you will be knocked over with joy. If you have a Knowing that what you desire also desires you, then when it shows up it will be like putting on an old sweater you thought you had lost and sitting down to a glass of pinot with a dear friend. It will feel like it has always been. It will not feel like an accident at all.

You will be walking down the beach and will have to stop for a moment to take it all in; the glorious accidents that are not accidents at all but a willingness toward love which you have caused.

You will be eating a meal and will look over at a pair of eyes across from you, allowing the light to flicker in a way that makes you put your fork down, reach over and touch their face. There, just like that. Just a simple stroke, enough to say You showed up in my life at exactly the right moment before picking up your fork and finishing your fish as if there were nothing better in the world than that moment. And there isn’t. There can’t be.

The tattoo is a reminder that I am truly attracting the people into my life that are on my vision board, and in my dreams. The law of Attraction is fierce and unyielding. There are no accidents.

Believe. It’s fun to see how words and their meaning recycle themselves to impart their wisdom when we are ready to receive the message. The word Believe was my 2010 word for the year. Not fully understanding why I choose this word, or rather why this word choose me. The word was posted on my vision board, however I was unsure how its meaning applied to my life. Almost two years later, I met Conscious Ink and rediscovered the word Believe in the form of a temporary tattoo and I welcomed the reunion. I found that wearing the word Believe on my body created a deeper connection to its meaning. This tattoo spoke to me when I needed to be reminded of its meaning the most: Believe. Synchronicity at its finest. Thank you Conscious Ink!

Angela Kukhahn, Yogi, blogger, lover of life

Angela's love for yoga began in 2003 after a car accident challenged her to find a way to rehab her knees. She ended up in a beautiful little studio called the Adiaya Yoga Sanctuary were her love for yoga began under the guidance of teachers Di Tysen and Rachel Sellars.

After successfully rehabbing both knees her curiosity grew, realizing the powerful healing properties of yoga. Much more than simply stretching and strengthening, yoga enlivens and awakens every cell in the body creating muscles that work together harmoniously. Angela constantly strives to offer her students fresh perspective, creativity and inspiration in their yoga practice. She invites you to join her in a fun expressive exploration on your mat!

Angela currently teaches at Yogaworks (El Segundo, Westwood) Equinox (El Segundo, CA) The Sports Club LA and Yogis Anonymous (Santa Monica, CA) where you can watch her class streamed LIVE every Sunday from 8-9:30am.

Why This Tattoo?

"Love Unconditionally, because it is the reason that we are all here. It starts with loving yourself and forgiving yourself. Judging others really starts with how you feel about yourself. It's about realizing we are all perfect in our imperfections and all small parts of a bigger whole."

Why These Tattoos?

"I am a practical person. My life is chock-full of fun-filled action....and it is very well thought out. When I get ready to leave in the morning, I plan my day with a list, I map out the most efficient driving route, I pack any costume changes in my backpack, I have a bar of raw chocolate on hand and to-go cup of yerba mate, and I'm out! Admittedly, I do not always follow my heart, I often follow my head and its scientific and objective inclinations. My head checks to see if the choices I am making are ecological for me, those around me, and the planet. If it looks good on paper, then it ought to bring me vitality, right? Not always! Sometimes my sense of responsibility overrides what my heart tells me is the "right" thing for the moment. Heart energy just doesn't make logical sense to my practical mind! Most recently, I have embarked on a new romantical relationship. I chose this man because he does not make sense to my logical mind: He doesn't have the job, the money, or the education that looks good on paper or to skeptical parents. But I am blissfully happy when we are together. He doesn't detract from my already stellar life, his presence enhances it. I noticed recently that my head was starting to tell me things along the lines of: "This guy isn't smart enough to challenge you," "His emotional vocabulary could be better," "His once-in-a-blue-moon misuse of the English language is off-putting," and a whole string of comparisons and judgements that do not help me feel good, nor do they bring me and this amazing man closer together. I needed to be reminded to tune in to my HEART, and get out of my head. My intention was this: "I surrender to love and I let myself be guided by love." The Conscious Ink LOVE tattoo went on my left forearm, to symbolize resting in being love, rather than DOING what I think love is supposed to act like. SURRENDER went on my right forearm, to symbolize actively surrendering to my heart. I have learned by now that if my heart is in the game, I am always pleasantly surprised by the results. For the next week, and long since the tattoos have worn off, I experienced a softness and sweetness within. Now when I notice my mind wander in the direction of judgement, I let it wander right on by, rather than grabbing hold of the comparative thoughts and letting them block intimacy. I surrender to love better, and I am loving surrender!"

Why This Tattoo?

"Walking around with Shakespeare's words present on my skin was enough to nudge me back into awareness of what was most important to me. It is a great reminder: a sticky note of wisdom and love. It's also removable and changeable to another great phrase, depending on the day. It's a simple way to dip your toe into the water as far as tattoos go. They all have such great messages for us. And they are so friggin' fun. Can't wait to see what he offers us next. :)"

Why This Tattoo?

"The LISTEN tattoo is my favorite at the moment. I am interested in listening more effectively and this tattoo is a perfect reminder. I believe we need reminders to stay focused on what matters most to us. A temporary tattoo is a perfect solution as what matters to me changes all the time, so I am not stuck with a real tattoo that no longer means anything a few weeks after I have it done."
